Dialouge

As Lincoln arrived in Washington D.C on Febuary 15th 1858 after winning the 1858 election he was crowded with joy and excitement.  As Lincoln stepped off the plane many reporters and hopeful people crowded.

"Get back get back!" Secret Service demanded

"Its ok." Abraham replied

"Are you ready for this presidency?" One reporter asked

"What are your thoughts on slavery?" Another reporter asked

"Abraham you don't have to answer these questions." Said Mary

"We must give hope to those who are less fortune." Abraham Replied

As questions about slavery and Abrahams mother kept occurring Mary would not stand for this.

Mary yanked Abraham aside and said "That's all the time we have today."

As Abraham looked at her with disappointment

"Abraham I can not let you be asked those nonsense questions it is disrespectful" Mary said with anger

As they walked to the limo Abraham was dead silent not making a single sound.

As they got in the limo Abraham replied "If the slaves can keep pushing there self and hoping something will change I can answer a few questions"

"I believe that you can change this world but you don't have to tell all the emotion and pain you have been through" Mary said

Abraham started to tear up and took out his journal to right poems. Some of Abrahams best writing was done when he was either emotional or had something to fight for, on that day he had both.

Abraham started saying his poem out loud it read "I am Abraham Lincoln, I show compassion kindness and will, I will fight by your side at all times, When I believe something no one can stop me from doing it, As of Febuary 15th 1858 I will do all I can to make America whole, I will take help when it is given, When the time is right I will strike."

"What does this mean?" Mary asked

"When you find the answer I'll be standing right here." Abraham left Mary guessing
